Dr. Shawn Kennedy
Shawn Kennedy serves as the Lead Pastor of Church at the Shores and is passionate about leading people to take their next step with Jesus. His heart is to see lives rooted in the love of God, formed in the way of Jesus, and free to live with purpose.
Before serving at Church at the Shores, Shawn planted and pastored a church in San Diego, California for fifteen years. Those years shaped his love for the local church, spiritual formation, and the slow, faithful work of building communities centered on Jesus. Shawn holds a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministries and Psychology from Nyack College, a master’s degree in Theology, and a doctorate in Spiritual Formation from Alliance Theological Seminary.
Shawn and his wife Rebekah have two children, Margaret and Macallan. When he is not with his family or serving the church, he enjoys riding his Vespa named Diego and never turns down Chick fil A.
